Colin Muir Dorward Artist Talk

Join us on Saturday, March 24 at 2pm for an artist talk by Colin Muir Dorward

Colin Dorward will be speaking about the new paintings included in his 2-person March exhibition that reference early Christian histories, myths and legends.  The work is connected to Dorward’s research for his PHD, which focuses on early medieval culture.

 

Colin Muir Dorward (born 1979) obtained his BFA from Emily Carr University in 2007 and his MFA from the University of Ottawa in 2013. He is currently completing his PHD in Visual Arts at Western University in London, ON.

In 2012, Dorward was selected as a finalist in the RBC Painting Competition, and won the Honorable Mention in the 2013 competition.  In the fall of 2014, he was awarded the Robert and Isabel Pope Painter’s Residency at NSCAD University.

His work is held in numerous private and public art collections, including the RBC Corporate Art Collection, National Gallery of Canada and the City of Ottawa Art Collection.
