It introduces players to techniques of persuasion, categorizing them into specific types such as “emotional appeal,” “ambiguity,” or “technical jargon.

The costume, inspired by Nelvana, Canada’s first female superhero, is designed by Erica Batten. Erica is a 2023 graduate of the Fanshawe Costume Production program and owner of Batts ‘n Barnacles @batbeans. Drawing boards, donkeys and easels are available and a session coordinator sets the pace. McIntosh Gallery – Let’s Talk Collections: What’s Up with the McIntosh Gallery collection, Noon-1pm
As the oldest university art gallery in Ontario, McIntosh Gallery has been collecting art since 1942. A lot has changed over this 83-year history, prompting us to consider critical questions about what it means to be a collecting institution in the contemporary moment. Join Rachel Deiterding, Curator of Collections & Special Projects and Museum and Curatorial Studies alumna, for a look inside ongoing work to review the McIntosh Gallery collection and the many questions and challenges that accompany this project.
Let’s Talk Collections is a public conversation series that makes visible behind the scenes work with the collection. Beginning with a short presentation about ongoing research and questions about the collection, the conversation will become a public forum, opening the floor to talk about collecting and its future together.
This talk is part of “Connecting Through Collections,” a project generously supported by Catherine Elliot Shaw.
Good Sport – Studio Tour, Noon – 5pm
This is a self guided tour through Good Sport’s studio spaces. There will be opportunities to talk to artists. You can shop for local art. Or simply support by showing up, showing interest and looking around.
Michael Gibson Gallery – Angie Quick & Susan Day in Conversation, 2pm
Join MGG on the last day of Angie Quick’s exhibition for an intimate conversation between London artists Angie Quick and Susan Day. Though they work in different mediums (painting and clay, respectively), both artists use figuration and their personal history as part of their work. Through their conversation we will learn how each artist approaches their own artistic practice and how this is Quick’s most personal body of paintings yet.
