Canada House in Trafalgar Square opens featuring Canadian artworks including Gathie Falk sculpture.

There are 291 pieces of Canadian art on display at Canada House. They include works by: Emily Carr, Group of Seven member Arthur Lismer, Photographer Edward Burtynsky, Sculptors Gathie Falk and Joe Fafard.

On February 19, The Queen officially re-opened Canada’s newly refurbished high commission in London, after years of an extensive renovation. Canada’s High Commissioner Gordon Campbell said that Canada House serves as the country’s “front door”for people in the United Kingdom.
