Christopher Pratt, “On Water Street”, Lithograph, 1988, 13 x 26 in. 8/100
“This lithograph was commissioned by MUN for inclusion in “Newfoundland Editions, Portfolio 2: Images of St. John’s”. It was printed at St. Michael’s Printshop. “Water Street” has always been synonymous with “St. John’s”, especially in the eyes of people living in the outports, just as “Bay Street” may summarize Toronto in the minds of prairie farmers.
