Part One of Houle’s short film “isstahpikssi” will be screened at Art Toronto October 23-26. Terrance describes the film as a Blackfoot / Ojibwa Sci-Fi Film.
Separated into three thematic programs—Going, Growing, and Gone—the inaugural installment of Art Toronto’s VERGE Video program presents a dynamic selection of contemporary moving image art. In an effort to bridge the worlds of independent and experimental film, animation, video art, and beyond, VERGE Video offers a unique selection drawn from galleries, distributors, and independent practitioners, both Canadian and international, with several of the eighteen works exhibiting in Toronto for the first time. The three programs will be on display throughout the fair’s duration in the newly designed VERGE section, which highlights new and innovative galleries. VERGE video is curated by Jesse Cumming.
